A professional career is a sequence of functions and positions held in a company or within a given profession, as well as subsequent stages of human development in his professional life.
The goal of career management is to achieve personal goals, meet your own ambitions, raise qualifications, acquire new experience and skills , as well as meet the company's expectations.
According to M. Armstrong, career management consists of two processes:
1) career planning - defines the development of employees within the organization in accordance with its needs and results, capabilities and preferences of employees. Career planning is a key career management process.
2) management of the consequences - aims to ensure that the organization has managers who will be needed in the future to meet different needs.
Career planning should be guided by the organization and include development strategies to meet the organization's needs. No less important is caring for the development of all employees, not just those who have greater ambitions. All employees should be encouraged to use and develop their skills and predispositions and to gain new experiences.
